Amazon.com Product Description Featuring unique retro styling and a heavy-duty steel construction, the Schwinn Roadster is a great choice for your youngster's first trike. It has a low center of gravity thanks to a wider profile back, which offers added stability to prevent tipping. The swoopy steel frame has an easy step-through design so your tyke will be comfortable and ready to ride. The Roadster has a bucket seat with an opening on the back for easy carrying, and the seat can be adjusted underneath with twist knob (no tools needed) to five different positions. The handlebars have textured grips and raised ends that help keep the hands from slipping off, and the handlebars can be adjusted using a wrench. The pedals offer colored rubber accents that also provide extra gripping so shoes don't slide off. It also features air-filled tires--12 inches in front, 8 inches in the back--which provide a smoother ride over bumpy surfaces. For added style, this trike comes with a real wooden deck in back with a burned-in Schwinn logo, shiny silver fenders on the front and back tires, a bell on the handlebars (which can be removed), and tassels for added flair coming off the ends of the handlebars (also removable). About Schwinn Founded in 1895, Schwinn is an American icon that has been synonymous with quality and innovation. They have built some of the best-known and best loved bikes of numerous generations--Aerocycle, Paramount, Phantom, Varsity, Sting-Ray, Krate and Homegrown. Today, Schwinn continues to be a leader in the industry with innovative bikes such as the new Sting-Ray, Rocket mountain bikes, and Fastback road bikes. With a continued dedication to quality, forever synonymous with the Schwinn name, America's most famous bicycle brand looks forward to providing another century of innovation, freedom and performance to people of all ages.
Product Description Make memories that will last a lifetime with the Schwinn 12" Roadster Trike. Featuring a retro-styled frame with a low center of gravity, it's easy for little ones to climb on and off during play. The tires roll smoothly and quickly, while the mustache-style cruiser handlebars, chrome fenders and a bell add a nostalgic flair that Mom and Dad will appreciate, as well.

Too Heavy for My Kids July 22, 2010 4 in 4.5 This trike seems to be excellent quality, but my kids have never been able to really take off in it. My kids are on the small side--average at most. Maybe it's best for bigger kids, or maybe my kids are just a little lazy! In our experience though, it's hard for my daughter to pedal and easy for her to tip. She had a big crash taking a curve, but, again, she doesn't steer very well and could have actually been going too fast (for once). The quality and look of it are impressive, but it might be too heavy for some kids. It's always been squeaky and creaky, but maybe it just needs some WD-40.
Loved it so much, bought the "RED" one too! July 20, 2010 NTBug1 The frame is very sturdy and the traction is perfect. My son had a great time riding it and it's not part of his everyday outdoor activity. We loved it so much, we ended up getting a red one to keep at the grandparents house for weekend visit.
Best trike ever! July 20, 2010 Nsprinkle My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday. And It's awesome! She can reach the pedal's since the seat is adjustable. She loves the bell. I didn't think they made trikes like these anymore, now a days they're all plastic. The seat has a back and the bike is lower to the ground so I don't worry about her tipping it or falling over. Heavy duty enough to take a beating for years to come.
stylish ride July 1, 2010 Roselinsofia Venkatesan this one is really looking great.my 22 months old son loves this cycle.he likes the cycle very much.he is trying to pedel and he reaches it easily.package came at time without any delay.we like the rubber tire.overall it is a perfect trike and i recommend this to every one who is planning to buy a trike in future.
Had height specification issue June 23, 2010 PSKW (Basking Ridge, NJ, USA) Great tricycle, but beware of height specs. Purchased this as a birthday gift for a child 33 inches tall, which was within the specs. Even adjusted to the smallest settings, the child was unable to reach the pedals well enough to ride.
