5 out of 5 stars VERY Good Quality, a bit Tall   July 12, 2010
Christine M.
I've been riding a unicycle since I was 13yrs old, I'm now 25. This unicycle arrived early, took about 10mins to put together, everything was labeled extremely well. I was also like a kid on Christmas, so I'm sure that helped put it together faster. The pedals have good traction, the crank arms are holding up nicely and over all it's a nice solid unicycle.

There's only thing I've noticed that took me a while to get used to when riding this unicycle. When looking at my old unicycle I replaced with this one, after one of the crank arms stripped and I couldn't find a replacement crank arm, the seat post itself is a bit long. I'm only 5' 3'', my previous unicycle stands a good 3'' shorter than this one does when it's at the LOWEST it can go. Both unicycles have 20'' wheels.

If the rider is any shorter than 5' 3'' I wouldn't suggest getting this unicycle unless you feel confident about taking the seat & post off (which is easy to do) and having someone cut the seat post to be shorter. It wouldn't harm the unicycle and it would be very easy to do. Remember the seat is still adjustable it's just too tall to begin with for vertically challenged people like me. Unicycles need to match the height of the rider otherwise it's much harder to balance on them. When pedaling my knees come close to locking but don't. If I were any shorter I wouldn't be able to ride this unicycle.

But with the height issue aside, I LOVE this unicycle. Because of the solid quality parts, the unicycle never feels like it's about to fall apart from under you. The good traction on the pedals allow you to easily go up and down obstacles such as street curbs, various terrain, and more depending on your level of skill. Over all, I'm having a blast while keeping in shape, well worth the investment.

4 out of 5 stars great quality   June 22, 2010

This is a great beginner unicycle but if you get into the sport yes sport you may want a little better unicycle. This is a great unicycle for those trying to learn to ride or just using it to ride around. A 20 inch wheel is easier to learn on which is great but a bigger wheel is faster. I ride my cx almost everyday around 4 miles on average and it is sturdy and is still in good shape and looks like new except for a couple dings. Torker is a better quality unicycle than all of its similarly prized counterparts. The seat dose gets a little hard and uncomfortable with time but that is not a huge problem. The seat post stays in place as long as you tighten it well and it is nice that you can move the seat when needed. It is a little on the heavier side but for the price you cant beat it. I would recommend getting some colored duct tape and taping over the scruff guards to keep them looking nice until you learn to ride. I would also recommend that you go a step up and get the Torker LX Red/Chrome 20 Inch which is not that much more expensive. Good luck and have fun.

3 out of 5 stars Too tall but good quality   March 23, 2010

The product should have been more specific for sizing. The product is well made and was easy to assemble but does not fit my child well. I found it difficult to purchase this online without a better sizing guide. If it fits (5 foot tall and above) I think you will be very happy.

We ordered this unicycle for our 13 year old daughter. It is exactly what we wanted; she will get many years out of it. It was shipped out promptly and she was thrilled.
