| Customer Reviews: excitment waned ....first impressions shot out the window March 17, 2010 Rick Schoonover (San Diego Ca.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I must say I was really excited about my bike. So much so I opted for next day shipping. Unfortunately when I opened the box I first noticed the fenders were all dinged up... I mean not a dent here or there, I mean thrown down a cliff banged up. So I thought maybe I could just get new fenders sent, so I pulled the bike out of the box to notice the parts are all zip tied to the frame and only a thin piece of cardboard and tissue paper that was worn through and almost all the parts were rubbing against the frame. The frame is scratched in too many places to count. I did not go any further. I found the manual with this on the front cover, "congratulations on your new bike! Cycle Force Group is dedicated to making sure you are satisfied with your new bicycle and want to help with any questions you may have." "DO NOT return product to the store. Please contact Cycle Force Group for assistance." That is a direct quote. Well don't bother calling the useless "customer service" The rep told me to call Amazon.. I told her I did not want to be come a ping pong ball and the damage is clearly due to sub par packaging and for her to call Amazon and between them figure out how they would take care of me, THE CUSTOMER! Well I waited for a couple hours and no response so I call again to hear, "I'm sorry our office is now closed." I was furious for not getting any follow up. I called Amazon and they set up another delivery of another bike and I'm assured they will quality assurance check it prior to shipping. This was clearly not so much a shipping problem as it is the packaging, it's just not packaged to be safely shipped from China to the U.S. east coast. The packaging would barely hold up to get the bike shipped across town. I have no idea what other problems this bike may have, I never even came close to putting it together. I will follow up with now dealing with getting this piece of crap boxed back up and somehow shipped back to Amazon and hopefully the next one will come in much better condition. I will for sure be letting you know. BTW this bike looks pretty cool, I wish they would have taken some pride in packing it to make sure it got here in acceptable condition. Such a waste for everyone involved.
Okay Bike - Not Easy To Assemble December 23, 2009 Peter Becerra (Sacramento) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First off, you get what you pay for. My wife and I bought Men's and Women's Victory Touring Cruiser Bikes for occasional riding for exercise - not any serious cycling. For that purpose, these bikes were great. If you want a thorough bike which will handle well off road and will be using it a ton, I would not recommend these bikes.
Secondly, these bikes were not easy for me to put together. Probably took me 3 hours for the first bike, and once I got the hang of it, 2 hours for the second. Glad I had my own tools too, because the tools they provide are cheap and shotty. The instructions that came with both bikes did NOT help. I tried refering to them, but they were not an easy read unless you're an engineer. Also, it seems like the bike company had a single manual for all their bikes, and just ship that manual with each bike, which was frustrating. For example, these are Crusier bikes with wheel fenders, but the instruction manual didn't specifically cover Cruiser bikes, so there were no section on the fenders. I had to look up the image on Amazon to figure out that I had the front wheel turned the wrong way, which meant the fender didn't fit correctly and when I peddled, my feet would sometimes hit the tire when I turned. And configuring the brakes was probably the most difficult part because of the many moving parts and again, the instruction manual was pretty useless. Finally figured it out after messing with each component and reverse engineering their purpose.
I'm just glad I'm done putting them together and my wife and I can enjoy them.

The bike arrived with two screws and one nut missing. They are metric but I was able to replace them at Lowes. After that, the fenders took some extra time but not difficult. Nice bike, rides smoothly and the gearing is just right for me.
