So I purchased this bike after reading the following reviews on here. When I got it it looked very nice and was fairly easy to put together. My first ride out it worked very well and we didn't run into any problems so I thought. I noticed first gear wouldn't shift very well and soon found out that it wouldn't shift into gear 1 at all. There was a church bike ride where a friend borrowed my bike and apparently he couldn't even make it halfway because the bike got stuck into 3rd gear. Riding a number of miles on 3rd gear can really be a challenge when you haven't rode a bike in a long time.
My next ride out was a nightmare because I learned first hand how impossible it was to ride a long distance stuck on third gear. On top of that on the way back the rear fender lost a screw and was rubbing against the back tire making alot of noise. I then put it in the shed and planned to take it into a bike shop to get it fixed. About a month later I took the bike out to bring it to a bike shop and both of the tires are completely flat. Apparently the tube inside the tires each got a hole. The Bike mechanic has no idea how that happened to both tires.
On top of that there is rust already on many parts of the bike, and its been subjected to nearly no bad conditions. This only after 2 months and 3 total trips. It's probably worth it to look else ware for a bike because your almost going to be forced to take it into a bike shop anyways. I'm the type of person that likes to fix things by myself, but this bike was in bad enough condition where I couldn't. I ended up spending $65 extra to get it fixed and who knows if even this will hold up.

Shifter leaves a little to be desired. 3rd to 4th and, 4th to 5th shifts are pretty iffy. I'm gonna try to adjust it. If that doesn't work I will just upgrade to a better shifter. Thanks, Rich

I was a reluctant to purchase a bike online with worries I wouldn't be able to safely put it together. I'm a big girl and intend to make good use of the bike to tow my large dog in his bike-trailer. Never put a bike together before, for the savings I have two words for you: BUY IT! I put this bike together on my own in a matter of minutes. I think it took me longer to push the box from one room to another and empty it out than it did to assemble the bike. The only things to put together is the front wheel, handle bars and peddles. If you have a screw driver, allen wrench and plyers, you've got it made, it's really a no-brainer. Oh yeah, the bike is really attractive too. Enjoy!

This bike came in just 5 days. It was double boxed. It had a few small scratches on it and the wheels were out of round. The de-railer needed to be adjusted as well as the brakes. I took it to my bike mechanic and for $ 12.00 he had me up and running. All in all it's a nice riding, good looking beach cruiser and well worth the money for an inexpensive ride.
