 The tire fell off July 9, 2010

I bought this bike for my daughter and she rode it for about 2 weeks and loved it. She took the bike out one day to visit a friend and the tire split off from the frame. We are returning it and we'll give it another shot. Maybe this was just defective. However I'm tempted to just return it and get another bike all together.

I love this bike, it's my first bike ever (I'm in my 20's) and it's great, I love the look and I enjoy riding it. The only problem is after having it for just a couple weeks it fell over and something broke (I miscalculated the angle of my bike versus the slight hill I was on while I was opening my car to load it, so it fell over while my back was turned). Granted it was my miscalculation it fell over, but it can't be very good workmanship if something breaks with such a minor fall. The break lever broke so now I only have my front breaks working. I'll work to get it fixed, but a word of warning to be careful, I didn't really think that it falling over would break something but it did. Other than that I like the bike a lot.

First of all it is very cute to look at. It has fenders, rack and chain guard so it looks expensive. The cream color with brown writing it very pretty. We purchased the bike for our 10 1/2 year old daughter who is 5'5. Yes, I said 5'5. She is tall but young so we wanted something that did not have too many gears that might be a little confusing not to mention unnecessary for her. We rode 10 1/2 miles the first day and she never complained about pain like she did with her mountain bike. She was able to shift the gears easily too. The 28 inch hybrid tires make it a smooth ride. I definitely recommend this bike for anyone who enjoys long bike rides or quick rides to the convenience store! All in all, it's a good buy! Happy riding!!

I ride racing bikes, my girlfriend prefers comfort style hybrids. We got this bike from Target. This complete bike includes decent features such as fenders, a chain guard, a rear rack, a sturdy steel frame, and comfy riser bars and saddle. All for approximately $150, which I consider an amazing deal. For her, it's practically the perfect bike.
The only cons were as follows.
1) A detail on the brake. The twistable tensioner by the brake levers on the handlebars are a soft metal.
2) Flimsy plastic pedals.
You get what you pay for, that's for sure. But I am surprisingly happy with this purchase. I can't find a comparable deal anywhere.

I originally found this bike because I wanted something cheap to use to get to work each day. I found this bike to be cute and cheap; some of the reviews on Target's website were positive, so I ordered it. The bike arrived in a large, damaged box with all parts except for the instructions. Found a generic instructional video online which I used in putting it together. The long wire pieces used to attach the fenders to the center of the wheels were both off-center and bent, so much so on the rear wheel that it rubbed the tire. The seat, although height adjustable, moves from side to side and there seems to be little that can be done about this. Once assembled and tires inflated to the proper pressure, a large bulb appeared on the rear tire that could not be fixed by deflating the tires and resetting the rubber on the rim. Thankfully I live very close to a great bike shop; the guys first noticed that the rear tire (which was already mounted to the frame when it arrived) was on backwards. Next, they thought the bulbing problem might be a bad tire, so they tried a new one only to discover that the rim itself was smaller than the standard size for any tire. The repair shop guys also noticed a lot of bouncing when the front tire was rotated when mounted on a rack. Upon closer inspection and some measuring, it was discovered that the front rim had a large flat spot so the tire was not round. The guys at the shop recommended that, at the very least, I return the bike but also suggested that I reconsider this particular line/brand because they are cheaply made and partially assembled in a way that is unsafe. I slept on it and the next day returned the bike, spent an additional $40 for a better bike of a different brand and never looked back -- love the new bike, feel silly for wasting my time on this one.
