I bought this bike in May of 2010, had it now for about 3 months, and i absolutely love the bike. Did the super savings shipping and came in 2 days. Contrary to what the one reviewer experienced, mine came with directions. Not needed but they will help someone who hasn't put a bike together before. If you've never worked with disc brakes i do suggest you get it assembled by a local bike shop, they can be tricky with aligning. You only need to assemble the pedals, handle bars, and front brakes, the back is already setup out of the box.

Riding the bike is an absolute joy, i tend to beat my bikes up pretty good, and this bike has held its own. I actively ride mountain trails and dirt jumps, haven't had an issue with it yet. Also i tend to use this bike as a daily commuter over my road bike (only 5 miles) because its fun, handles curbs/jumps/bumps extremely well, also setting the suspension correctly plays a valuable key.

I have suggested this bike to a friend, who also bought it and throughly enjoys it. I'd buy it again, if need.

I bought the 21" frame size of this Cadillac mountain bike two months ago and I must say it is awesome. I am 6ft, so I bought the 21" frame size from the online Cadillac bike store (google it) with free shipping. The components are very good for my level of riding. I don't ride mountain bikes the way some professionals do therefore this bike was an excellent choice for me. Once I received my bike via UPS I took it to a local bike store for professional assembly and tuning of all the parts, gearing, etc. I have taken this bike on several amateur level bike trails and it rides flawlessly. The front and rear suspension works super smooth. This bike looks awesome in person as the posted photo's do it no justice. For me, the Cadillac logo's and stickers on the bike are just fine and makes the bike stand out from other name brand bikes. I've read some negative reviews for the Cadillac logo's placed on this bike in which I think some people are just plain nitpicky. In my opinion, Cadillac produces some awesome vehicles like the Escalade, STS, and CTS/V and therefore I think the brand being slapped onto a mountain bike of this quality is awesome. The frame is very sturdy for beginner/amateur levels of mountain bike/ trail riding but if you enjoy extreme mountain biking like downhill racing, etc., then you should go ahead and look to spend hundreds of dollars more for an even tougher built mountain bike if you have that kind of money to spend. For the average everyday rider, this bike will do you much justice. The only modifcation I recommend is to upgrade to a more comfortable saddle for a better overall quality ride for longer periods. I went with the schwinn adult ergonomic gel saddle here also on amazon.

When I unpacked it .There were no assembly instructions .I would have gave it 5 stars if it had came with the assembly instructions .The owners manual only had information about mountain bikes in general .I like the way it rides with the front and rear suspension.I like the disc brakes also .I have not rode a bicycle in over 40 years .I bought it mainly for exercise and basic transportation.I have had several comments on how good it looks .One other complaint .I thought it was supposed to come with 2.35 tires .Instead it came with 2.15 tires. It ride's good but bigger tires would have made it ride even better.Quite a bit of my riding is going into the small town nearby [7 miles away].I live on a gravel road about a 1/2 mile long after that it is paved road to the main highway .It is mostly downhill with some steep inclines .I do not feel comfortable about riding it in traffic for about the last 2 miles into town .By that time I am a little to worn down to keep up with traffic so I ride on the side of the road .There are some really steep inclines coming back and I have to push my bike part of the way back .I live at around 4500 ft elevation and it is a pretty much an all uphill grade coming back from town but quite abit of it is not to steep to ride .I have only rode it a few times but should have to make fewer stops once I get in better shape .I am 60 years old and have always been active .I do power lifting and recently started doing muay thai fighting training .I thought buying the bike would help improve my cardio and overall conditioning level.I stay within a few pounds on my of my weight class for competition in both sports year round.
